This hotel offers great value for money. The prices are reasonable and the attention to detail is impressive. I loved the fact that the rooms have balconies, providing a breathtaking view of both the river and the mountains. The location is perfect, with the train station nearby for easy access to the city of Heidelberg. The staff were friendly and the basic amenities were well-maintained. The breakfast served was delicious and added to the overall pleasant experience.
No complaints, everything was perfect.

Room is comfortable and clean.
Some facilities are missing. There is no good curtain to shield the light in the morning and hide the privacy, for example. Another thing is: there is only switch for both room ceiling and toilet lights.

Bed was comfortable, buffet breakfast was good and had good selection, staff friendly and helpful.
Dinner in the restaurant was basic and the comfort room with wonderful views didn't live up to expectations. The staff also did not appear to be expecting us.

We chose Neckartal Heidelberg because it offered a family-sized suite. It was quite spacious and comfortable (though not particularly attractive). The hotel is several kilometers away from Heidelberg center and was very quiet. It's right next to a transit stop. Parking was free. Staff was very nice.

Free parking beside the hotel was a bonus. The apartment provided our party with much needed space following our previous 10 nights in a caravan in the Black Forest region! The staff were pleasant and all spoke excellent English. Although situated approximately 5km from the Old Town the hotel is convenient to both the railway and a bus route. The staff recommended we use the bus which we did, a 24 hour pass for the whole family costing under 10 Euros. Buses pass every 20 minutes. Whilst the hotel was close to the railway and main road there was no noise to disturb our peace.
Whilst the apartment was clean and fresh towels were (surprisingly) provided each day, the apartment was a little shabby and would require a little tlc. The beds were very comfortable - for those under 6' tall! The footboard made it impossible for me to stretch out though the rest of our party slept well. The hotel was poorly signposted so unless you have SatNav finding it could be a little difficult.

Great hotel for a New Year's Eve celebration! The rooms were cozy and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a variety of food to choose from, including fresh fruit and hot eggs. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and had a beautiful view from the balcony.
The hotel did not meet my expectations for cleanliness. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned and there was a strange odor that lingered in the room.

Very calm and clean place with brand new rooms and comfortable bathroom. Very good price/value ratio.
Ants roaming through the room in search for food (had them everywhere). What had been planned as a quick dinner in the hotel restaurant turned out to be an hour long matter due to inattentive and slow restaurant staff. Getting to the city is quite complicated - either taking the S-Bahn or the bus. Own car is a big advantage.

The location was perfect and easy to find with a GPS(Navi). Local bus transportation was great to travel to Heidelberg, just 5-10 min. Clean room, the food was very good and reasonable priced. Good value, for what we needed. Free parking on site and free internet
